Welcome to my site!
I took my first photo with a russian "Cmena" camera when I was 17 and it was a disaster. The great adventure in the universe of light started when I met my precious Zenit TTL camera. The thing that makes me different is that I like to experience new things and new ways of using the light. I also have experience in Photoshop and Corel, I extended my adventure there. So the pictures on this site are a part of my work for almost ten years. My favourite subjects are: mountains, portraits, flowers, different parts of objects (abstract photography)...

Outdoor pictures
Honestly, for me, photography started with the mountaineering experience. I climbed the most interesting romanian mountains: Bucegi, Piatra Craiului, Fagaras and many others. I was fascinated by the diversity of mountain lights: the sunset, the sunrise, the lake mirror, the rainbow, the green light of the forest, the light of the beautiful mountain flowers... So, if you'll be enchanted by some of my pictures I took in the mountains, remember that I am not the real artist but the one who created those beautiful real things. So, when I took those photos I was just an admiror of his work. |
Biography
I was born on 11 september 1978 in Constanta, Romania. I graduated the informatics "Nicolae Balcescu" National College in Braila an I gained the licence in sociology at the Economics Faculty "Transilvania" in Brasov.
I worked as an informatics instructor, sociologist and graphic designer.
HOBBY:
My first serious hobby was MUSIC: I played guitar in different underground bands and now I make music with my computer.
PHOTOGRAPHY - of course !
I like to go in wild places like MOUNTAINS and to capture the light in new and unexplored ways. The mountains are an extraordinary universe of light where I can educate my eye.
LECTURE is a very important aspect of my life. I read a lot of social science (Weber is my fav.). Now my atention is focused on publicity, comercials and tutorials for graphics.
I used to read LITERATURE but now I don't. My favourite books are "Zorba the greek" "Dracula" "Einstein's dreams"

Indoor picures
I don't have my own digital camera yet, but when I borrow one I spend the whole night taking indoor pictures. I light up candles, I create different spotlights and I take some close-ups with different small objects. One of my oldest passions was painting, but i don't consider myself a good painter. So I try to express in photography what a painter does in painting. Art is the experience that you have beyond the reality as it is defined by our culture.

There is a story behind every click
Every photo has a story, it's a part of my life. A real photographer is actually painting his own life. When I go on the mountains I imagine that I go to a very coloured and perfumed photo shop. I imagine tones of spotlights caught on paper and floating on the air. Honestly I don't know how my next picture will be because the light is so complex. But I know that this world i so beutiful and is waiting for our eye to see it.
